We are pleased to announce the release of the first - but not final -- VCUR 2004 Product List! The Vendor Conformance and Usability Requirements (VCUR) were developed to help physicians take advantage of the latest office system technology to deliver care in a secure information environment. The VCUR provide for privacy and security of information, in addition to efficient design considerations to make your electronic medical record as easy to use as possible. And, as provincial and regional electronic health record initiatives become available across Alberta, using a physician office system that conforms with VCUR will enable you to appropriately share information outside of your office, receiving and updating patient demographic and eligibility information, lab results and drug management information. Over time, even more applications may be available.
