Edmonton electronic medical records (“EMR”)software developer Jonoke Software Development announced today that the company has developed an exciting new capability that will irrevocably change the way physicians access medical images.
In cooperation with the Lethbridge (Alberta) Radiology
Associates Clinic, Jonoke invested several thousand hours developing
a new filmless digital imaging module.
Code-named RadPacs®, this new module is tightly integrated with Jonoke’s
industry-leading MediFile® 4.0 electronic medical records (“EMR”)
software.
Jonoke co-founder and CEO Jody Bevan noted that “RadPacs® incorporates
revolutionary new tech sheets, dictation, and report writing screens seamlessly
integrated within the module. In Alberta, given our integration with Alberta
Wellnet’s provincial system, any Jonoke software with a RadPac® module
will be able to access medical images digitally, all within the Jonoke interface.
This will save enormous amounts of time and greatly enhance patient care.”
RadPacs® is currently undergoing final beta testing at the Lethbridge Radiology
Associates Clinic. The company anticipates it will be made available to medical
imaging clinics and physicians in the first quarter of 2004.
This development follows closely Jonoke’s late-December 2003 announcements
concerning a major success with Alberta Wellnet, and the imminent deployment
of MediFile 4.0.
“
We’re on a roll,” concluded Bevan. “It’s a wonderful
coincidence that Jonoke, one of the world’s hottest medical software developers,
is located in Edmonton, the heart of North America’s leading electronic
health records initiative. This is great for our shareholders, terrific for the
city and province, and especially good news for Albertans concerned with the
quality of their health care.”
