Application Developers

Jonoke is seeking highly motivated, energetic applications developers to work with our team of experienced developers to generate the next major release of JonokeMed™. Jonoke uses an extreme programing methodology: strict naming conventions, test-driven development and peer review are all adhered to. We work in an environment where documentation is a must and a development environment that meets ISO 9000:2000 standards. We are building a multi-lingual product to be delivered by local resellers around the world. Jonoke is building an application that will support thousands of concurrent users, in a mission-critical environment. Duties of this position include:
- Reporting to the Development Manager
- Documenting all your work as per corporate policy and guidelines
- Record your work time as per corporate policy
- Program solutions as directed

Attending weekly training sessions will be foundational to keeping up with the quickly evolving JonokeMed™ suite of solutions. The training sessions can be attended remotely if needed.

Qualifications
- Experience with the 4th Dimension development environment would a huge asset but is not required
- Experience with SQL, XLIFF, 4D v11, AJAX, JSON, HL7, XML, and iPhone SKD are an asset
- Work well in a challenging and rapidly changing environment
- Work well with minimal structure and high expectations
- Work well within a team environment with professionals of other disciplines
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines

Location of Employment
The right person can work from anywhere in the world, though preference will be given to those with the same skills who are local. There are incentives for Jonoke in terms of taxes if the person works from within Canada.

Web Developer

Jonoke is seeking a highly motivated, energetic web developer to work within a team environment of experienced application developers, support team and video creators. The team will create a Web 2.0 website with dynamic links to our internal data base system.

Duties of this position include:
- Providing technical expertise, development, maintenance and support of web site and web applications
- Researching and working with new technologies as directed
- Developing web pages to support mobile devices specifically, as well as regular webpages

Attending weekly training sessions will be foundational to keeping up with the quickly evolving JonokeMed™ suite of solutions.

Qualifications:
- Work well in a challenging and rapidly changing environment
- Work well with minimal structure and high expectations
- Work well within a team environment with professionals of other disciplines
- Must have experience with PHP4, XHTML, HTML
- Must have hands-on experience with CSS and Ajax (strong CSS skills)
- Hands-on experience with web-database integration
- Demonstrated talent for good design and, specifically, for website design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency with raw HTML editing, Dreamweaver and Adobe web suite
