Description:
Windows computers may not have the neccessary software to manage .zip compressed files. Installing the evaluation version of WinZip (available for download from www.winzip.com) will allow the user to try working with .zip files. If this functionality is found to be useful, WinZip can be registered for a fee at their web site.
1. Double-click the installer program.

2. The first screen of the installer appears. Click Setup to continue.

3. Choose the destination folder. The default is usually acceptable,
placing the WinZip program in a folder by that name, within your
Program Files folder. Otherwise, click Browse to specify a folder,
or enter the specific folder name by typing it in the text field.
4. Click OK to run the installation. It should be complete quite quickly, and when it has finished, you will be shown the License Agreement.

5. Click Yes to agree to the terms of the Agreement. WinZip Setup continues by offering you a Quick Start guide. You may view or print this by clicking the appropriate button, or simply continue by clicking Next.

6. You are asked to choose Wizard or Classic mode. Classic is recommended for most users. Click the radio button next to Start with WinZip Classic, then click Next.

7. The setup program asks whether you prefer the default Express setup, or the more thorough Custom setup. Select Express, then click Next to continue.

8. You can associate .zip files with WinZip so that your system knows how to access this type of file. Click Next at this screen to allow this option.

9. Setup is now complete. Click Finish to continue.

10. WinZip will launch automatically. You are shown a Tip of the Day; to disable this, select Never show tips at startup from the drop down menu, then click Close.

11. The WinZip window should now be visible. This is the standard interface. You can begin working with .zip files now.
