Q & A Builder

Description

The following tech note will explain how to create a Q & A template accessible through the Clinical Tools button in the Patient Info palette.

1. Go to the File menu and select Reference Files.

2. Choose from the pop up ‘Q & A’

3. Click New Sequence to create a new Q & A Template.

4. MediFile will then ask you what type of question is your first question. Click Multiple Choice or Question(written answer).

5. Enter the Complaint. This is the Q & A Template Name.

6. Multiple Choice Questions:

- Enter the Intro Statement
- Enter the Negative Intro Statement.
- Enter the Comments.
- Enter the Alert.
- Enter the Question Header.
- Enter the Question.
- Click on the Choice List button.
- In the Label field type in the word that the user will click on.
- In the Pos field type in the answer to appear if the user clicks on the Label.
- In the Neg field type in the answer to appear if the user does not click on the Label.
- If there are more than 10 option needed click on the Choices 11-20 button.
- Click on the Accept button when ready.
- Click on the New button to add another question. MediFile will then ask you what type of question is the next question.

7. Question Questions:

- Enter the Intro Statement
- Enter the Negative Intro Statement.
- Enter the Comments.
- Enter the Alert.
- Enter the Question Header.
- Enter the Question.
- Fill in the possible answers.
- Click on the Accept button when ready.
- Click on the New button to add another question. MediFile will then ask you what type of question is the next question.

8. Use the Next and Prev buttons to move between the questions you’ve added.

9. Click on the Preview button to see what the user will be experiencing with the question you’ve added.

10. Click on the green check mark when your done entering all of your questions.
