Description

MediFilev3 Setup for a PC that had MediFile v2.6 previously is installed.

Detail

A. MediFile Installation

1. Double-click on My Computer
2. Double-click on CD volume
3. Double-click on MediFile v3
4. Double-click on OEM
5. Double-click on 4D Client
6. Go to the Edit menu and select Select All
7. Go to Edit menu and select Copy
8. Double-click on My Computer
9. Double-click on (C:)
10. Double-click on Jonoke
11. Delete all items except the MediFile folder
12. Go to Edit menu and select Paste
13. Rename the “4D Client.exe” to “MediFile Client.exe”
14. Right mouse click & hold on “MediFile Client.exe”
15. Drag to the desktop and release
16. Select “Create Shortcut(s) Here”
17. Rename “Shortcut To MediFile Client.exe” to “MediFile Client.exe”
18. Go back to the CD window and click on UP.
19. Click on Windows Dictionary
20. Go to the Edit menu and select Copy
21. Go back to the (C:) drive window
22. Go to the Edit menu and select Paste
23. Go back to the CD window and click on UP.
24. Click on Network Components
25. Go to the Edit menu and select Copy
26. Go back to the (C:) drive window and click on UP.
27. Double-click on the Windows folder
28. Click on “Show All Files”
29. Double-click on the ACI folder
30. Delete all items except the “tcp.opt” file
31. Go to the Edit menu and select Paste
32. Rename the “Network Components” folder to “Network
33. Close all windows

B. Task Bar & Start Menu Settings

1. Click the Start Menu
2. Select Settings
3. Select Taskbar & Start Menu…
4. Deselect Always On Top
5. Click Auto Hide
6. Click Show Small Icons In Start Menu
7. Click Apply
8. Click Start Menu Programs
9. Click on “Remove…”
10. Click on MediFile
11. Click on Remove
12. Click on Close
13. Click Add
14. Type in "C:/Jonoke/MediFile Client.exe"
15. Click Next
16. Click Start Menu
17. Click Next
18. Type in “MediFile Client”
19. Click on Finish
20. Click OK
