Description:
You can use LeechFTP 1.3 to manage your electronic billing files if you use Jonoke as your Service Bureau (please consult Jonoke if you are unsure about this). This document assumes you have installed and configured LeechFTP according to the instructions in the Tech Note titled, LeechFTP 1.3 Installation (Windows). You will also need Internet access.
1. Start LeechFTP. There is typically an item under Start > Programs for this.
The LeechFTP program window is displayed as shown.

The button bar along the top contains most of the functions you will need. The large, horizontal text area will display server communication text. The lower-left panel displays Queue, Threads, Downloads or Failures information; the lower-centre panel displays files on your computer, showing the current path at the bottom; the lower-right panel will be used to display files on the server (aka. remote volume).
Next you will create a bookmark to Jonoke for future use.
2. Click the Bookmarks button to open the Bookmarks page.

3. Choose Edit > Add Folder. Name the folder Sites.
4. Choose Edit > Add Bookmark. A new bookmark window will be opened. This is where you will configure this site for connecting to Jonokes FTP server.
Login Information
Host or URL: ftp.jonoke.com
Port: 21
Username: (your username)
Password: (your password)
Remote Directory: (leave blank)
Personal login selected
Optional: On the next tab of the bookmark window, named Advanced Settings, you can set the default local directory (which folder on your computer the program goes to for this site). For MediFile©, you may find it helpful to have LeechFTP immediately access your Transmitted folder, where your billing files are stored.

The Local Directory field is where you can enter the path to the Transmitted folder manually. To browse for the folder, click the ... button.
If your MediFile© is installed to the default folder, you can use the Browse for Folder dialog (above) to find the Transmitted folder on your hard drive. This is usually in the MediFile folder, within the Jonoke folder on your computer.

5. Save the Jonoke bookmark by clicking OK.

You can rename this bookmark Jonoke. It will always be available from this Bookmarks page, and double-clicking the bookmark will access Jonokes FTP server.
You can also access a bookmark by right-clicking on it and choosing Connect. Note the other options available to you from this contextual menu as well. For more information on these options, consult the Help information included with LeechFTP.

6. Test the connection: double-click the Jonoke bookmark. LeechFTP will communicate with the server over the Internet, and verify your login information.

Above you can see a successful login. As mentioned before, the lower-centre pane shows your local files, in the folder listed at the bottom; the lower-right pane shows any files/folders on the server, at the location listed at the bottom.
7. Retrieve a pay file: double-click your local Receive folder, then do the same for the server folder by the same name. By dragging any files from the right side to the left, you will immediately download a copy of those files to your computer. The Receive files are used by MediFile© to reconcile health care billings.

To return to the previous folder on each side, double-click the .. (parent) folder. You should now see the ToSend and Receive folders again.
8. Submit a billing file: double-click your local ToSend folder, then do the same for the server folder by the same name.
By dragging any files from the left side to the right, you will immediately upload a copy of those files to Jonokes server.
The ToSend files are generated by MediFile© for your health care billings.

NOTE: When you upload a file, you may notice that LeechFTP displays the text refresh needed! on the server side of the window. This means that the program knows there are changes to the files/folders on the server, however you must manually refresh the listing in order to display the current contents. Click in the server side of the window, then click the Refresh button (shown below).

9. To finish your FTP session, click the disconnect button.
Disconnect
10. To exit LeechFTP, choose Exit from the File menu, or click the Exit button.
Exit (will disconnect first, if necessary)
