JonokeMed™ would not be a complete solution without the standard office applications you need for clerical and other tasks. It includes a Word Processor, Drawing Application, E-mail, Instant Messaging, and a Spreadsheet Application. These tools are smartly integrated with JonokeMed™ and the database, and are always mere mouse clicks away.

Word Processor

Unlike other medical software packages, JonokeMed™ boasts a robust, integrated word processing application – not a text editor, nor an application that has been 'tacked on' to the database. This integration allows you to create documents which draw data directly from JonokeMed™, such as for letter merging.

You get a full set of standard word processor features, including text styles and font choice, paragraph alignment and indenting, header and footer control, margin control, tab settings, and page numbering. Use templates to vastly speed up letter writing, and generate a glossary of frequently used terms or phrases to save on keystrokes. Faxing is easier than ever, as you are able to send a document directly from the word processor without a printout (when you have the Fax Butler).

Drawing Application

As with the word processor (above), JonokeMed™ also features an integrated graphics application.

This has a variety of applications in JonokeMed™, most notably for sketches as part of a visit's encounter notes, using standard shapes, colours, and text objects. The Drawing module is integrated with your database, allowing you to dynamically add information.

Electronic Mail (E-mail)

JonokeMed™ includes an intra-office electronic mail system, allowing doctors and staff to send messages to each other.

Your mail is accessible from any workstation, and you can configure MediFile to notify you whenever new mail arrives. Plus, in one click you can attach a patient chart to a message, so that the message recipient(s) can quickly view the chart directly from their e-mail window. You can even have the message automatically faxed to recipients who prefer faxes over e-mail.

Instant Messaging

Users in the clinic have access to an instant messaging feature, allowing them to send a quick note right to the screen of another user currently on the system.

This can be far faster than paging, calling, or e-mailing, since the message shows up immediately at the workstation where that user is logged in. The message can be linked to a patient record to quickly refer the recipient to a patient's information.

Spreadsheet Application

Pretty much every business has a need and use for a spreadsheet application, and JonokeMed™ delivers on this as well.

Whether you are producing an accounting report or tables of data, the Spreadsheet Application is the tool to use. This is, of course, also integrated with JonokeMed™, meaning you are able to draw information directly from the database.
