Prescriptions

A common part of an exam involves writing up a prescription for medication. The JonokeMed™ system gives you a very straightforward system for creating, storing, and issuing scripts.

Default scripts – Drug file

JonokeMed™ stores a compendium of drug information in the form of a drug database. Each drug record stores information such as:

•drug name
•any number of brand names
•default script, such as quantity and dosage
•alternate scripts for quick selection
•information fields for usage, interactions, side effects, and more

You can customize this database in limitless ways. As this information is added to and honed, you will be able to create prescriptions in less and less time.

Printed, signed, delivered

JonokeMed™ lets you print out a prescription(s) with a single click. In fact, you are reminded when you have new prescriptions in an encounter that you have yet to print. A clinic will typically have a central, networked laser printer, to which printouts such as these would be sent. The patient then collects their printout once their exam is complete.

Saved Signature - store an image of your signature, which can be automatically printed as part of the prescription.*

Special forms - should you prescribe a medication that must be remitted using a custom paper form, you can mark this item to be omitted from the printout of other prescriptions.

Historical & Active Rx

As you create prescriptions, this information instantly becomes part of the patient's record. This means more than simply a history of what medication they have taken:

View current medications – give immediate consideration to drug interaction

Renew active prescriptions – quickly issue refills for ongoing medications; activate or de-activate prescriptions with a single click

Re-prescribe past scripts – base a new prescription on one from the patient's history, with any necessary modifications

* Saved signature print-outs still require manual initials
