File Transfer Protocol, or FTP, is a widely-accepted and regularly used standard for transferring data over the Internet. This especially useful when working with large files; it is more secure than sending files as e-mail attachments, and circumvents problems with e-mail size limits. The FTP Butler provides your clinic with the ability to both send and retrieve files via a secure FTP site. There are several types of files you may need to send over the Internet, such as diagnostic images, whole patient charts, reports, letters, and more. This JonokeMed™ module handles all the logistics of FTP for you. With the FTP Butler, you can be sure you are able to manage file transfers over the Internet securely and efficiently.

Speed
When you need to send a file, it takes less than a second to put FTP Butler to the task. The speed at which the file is transferred is limited only by the Butler’s connection to the Internet. Speed is more than just raw transfer rates: the time that it takes you to set up the FTP connection, then wait for it to start, is often the biggest time consumer. The FTP Butler works in the background, managing your file transfers as requested through JonokeMed™. Your clinic can make the maximum use of a single Internet connection.

Open 24-Hours
The FTP Butler is pre-configured to use Jonoke’s high-speed access to the Internet. Jonoke has set up the FTP Butler secure services to provide unparalleled security for your file transfers.

System-Wide
As with other JonokeMed™ Butlers, the FTP Butler is available across your network. Any user with the proper security clearance can send files with this Butler. If a document to be sent is already on your Image Server, the process is even faster.

Cross-Platform
Just as JonokeMed™ works on both Mac OS and Windows computers, the Image Butler is cross-platform. Jonoke used it’s expertise with platform-independent software development to ensure the Image Butler is usable on either of these two operating systems.
