A message sent from a JonokeMed™ workstation takes only a fraction of a second to be sent to the E-mail Butler, where it is queued and coordinated for sending. With JonokeMed™, the benefits of electronic messaging go beyond simple text information: you can incorporate information from your database into e-mail, including patient information and reporting, and with the same level of security present throughout JonokeMed™.

Mass Email
Some sites send out upwards of 1000 reports each day. The E-mail Butler can easily handle this workload. Creating mass e-mail messages is as straightforward as generating distribution letters. The E-mail Butler takes care of transferring messages behind the scenes.

Full Security
There are a number of known security issues that come into play when working with e-mail systems. In addition to the level of security already inherent to JonokeMed™, you can configure the E-mail Butler to restrict certain information. Database content can be controlled in e-mail messages, ensuring sensitive information does not get sent out. Attachments, such as image files or documents, can be limited based on your administrative settings. The E-mail Butler also includes unique Jonoke-developed technology to filter out malicious attachments before they can infiltrate your network. Email Consult
If your practice involves sending out many consult letters, you will benefit from the E-mail Butler. Using JonokeMed™’s integrated word processor, you can create a letter as you normally do—with all the time-saving features of that already. With the click of a button, you can send the letter to anyone on the Internet. JonokeMed™ will automatically access the e-mail address for each person, as contained in your address book. The report is whisked away to the recipient via your Internet connection. No paper, no typing complicated e-mail addresses, no waiting for modem dial-up... just productivity.

Speed
Whether you have a permanent internet connection, or a dial-up connection, your Internet access can be utilized by your whole network. Even with dial-up, sending 100 reports will only tie up a JonokeMed™ workstation for a few seconds. Let the E-mail Butler do all the work.

Distribution Preferences
You can have JonokeMed™ determine how best to send a letter. JonokeMed™ allows you to specify the default method for sending letters to each recipient in the address book. For example, you may have 200 physicians that request all correspondence via fax, another 50 via e-mail, 10 by FTP, and the remainder via posted document. Each physician’s preferred receipt method can be stored in JonokeMed™. When you or your staff send a distribution letter, the E-mail Butler will take care of sending the message to those recipients who prefer e-mail. It can’t be any easier!

Of course, you can always override this feature to send a letter by a specific method.

Accounting
If you want to know what e-mail is being sent where and from whom, the E-mail Butler can provide such information. A complete accounting of all e-mail is handled for you automatically. This makes it easy to track who is using e-mail and who is not. Use this information to determine who may need more training to utilize the time- and money-saving features of JonokeMed™.

Standards
The E-mail Butler supports all the industry standards for e-mail: POP, SMTP, and more. There is no need to put the control of your e-mail system in the hands of a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your JonokeMed™ administrator can look after all of this for you, using the E-mail Butler module. Should a new staff member come on board, you can give that person a functioning e-mail address in just a few steps. Addresses can be removed as efficiently, making maintenance easy.

System-Wide Access
Like the other JonokeMed™ Butlers, the E-mail Butler is available across your entire local or wide area network (LAN/WAN). Sending complex documents with graphics is easily accomplished from anywhere on the JonokeMed™ network. There is no difference between using the Butler on the local network right beside the server, or across the country dialing in to the system. The features and speed are always available to you.

Cross-platform
Just as JonokeMed™ works on both Mac OS and Windows computers, the E-mail Butler is cross-platform. Jonoke used it’s expertise with platform-independent software development to ensure the E-mail Butler is usable on either of these two operating systems.
