What is J-Dictation?
J-Dictation provides JonokeMed™ users the ability to digitally dictate patient notes and letters directly into JonokeMed™ and have their digital recordings attached directly to a patient’s medical record. These recordings can be used for playback or by a typist to then transcribe the digital recording into a medical record. Once transcribed, the notes can be reviewed and, if needed, compared to what was originally recorded -- saving time and money.

Works in a Familiar Way
Using J-Dictation is so easy. J-Dictation works just like you would expect and has the same familiar feel that your old-fashion physical dictation devices had. In fact, you can take full advantage of many USB devices like foot pedals, microphones, media mice and other specialized USB controllers.

If you are comfortable with using dictation devices, then you will feel right at home with J-Dictation. Moving through the digitally recorded dictations are done just as if you were using a physical dictation machine. Rewind, play, fast forward, along with the additional abilities that you can only get with digital recordings, are all at your fingertips.

J-Dictation’s integration with JonokeMed™ continues well beyond what any other central dictation product in the industry has to offer!

As soon as the dictation is saved, JonokeMed™ alerts the transcriptionist(s) that a dictation is ready to transcribe. This happens instantly! No waiting for tapes to be sent (and lost). No matching of paperwork with tapes. As well, each dictation can have a priority attached to it. This way the person dictating can indicate that the dictation is of high priority and must be handled first. As well, you can assign your transcription to a specific transcriptionist or transcription group.

When the list of dictations are presented to the transcriptionist, high priority recordings are shown at the top of the list and subsequent recordings can be listed in the order that they were received or alphabetically by patient.Transcriptionist FeaturesTranscriptionists are used to using foot pedals to control recordings. The transcriptionist types the report directly into the patient record in JonokeMed™. No longer is transcription done outside of JonokeMed™, where you would then have to ‘import’ them, or scan reports in. Once the transcriptionist saves the report, the dictator is notified that the report is ready for review.

While reviewing the typed document, the physician can listen to their original dictation to help them recall what was said. Corrections can be made directly by the physician or it can be sent back for retyping with just a click of the mouse.

Further time savings are achieved because as soon as the report is approved, it can be faxed out (FaxButler), or E-Mailed in an encrypted format (CommsButler - E-mail interface), or viewed on the web (WebButler).Saving yourself time and money, while being more responsive to the needs of your patients.
